Other Electronics Repairs
Not everything worth repairing has an Apple or Samsung logo.
GHD straighteners, remotes, controllers and small electronics: we look for practical repair options at our family-run workshop.
Not sure if we repair it? Send us a photo of the device, the model number and a quick description of the fault.

More than phone repairs
What We Repair
A damaged switch, cable or connection can stop a useful device working. We assess a range of electronic faults, with honest advice on what is worth repairing. These are examples, not a complete list.
GHD Hair Straighteners
Power, heating, cable and intermittent faults. Send the model and symptoms so we can advise on assessment.
Read our GHD repair guide →Car Remotes & Key Fobs
Ask about damaged buttons, battery contacts and electronic faults. Photos and model details help us check the scope of work.
Controllers & Accessories
Buttons, connections and other electronic faults in controllers and accessories.
Console & controller repairs →Charging & Connector Faults
Damaged ports, cables, switches and connections. A charging symptom alone doesn’t identify the faulty part.
Small & Unusual Electronics
Portable lights, electronic decorations and items outside the usual categories. Send a photo before bringing yours in.
Circuit Board Repairs
Some faults need investigation at component level. We’ll advise whether specialist diagnosis is appropriate.

Straight answers before you decide
Proper Diagnosis First
Repair options depend on the device, fault, parts availability, previous damage and whether the repair is economical.
We find the fault before recommending parts. We’ll explain any assessment fee, the proposed work, price and likely timing before carrying out chargeable work.
If a repair isn’t practical, we’ll say so. Any applicable warranty will be explained with your quote; see our warranty information.
Stop using damaged or malfunctioning items and disconnect them from power. Please don’t open them or attempt mains electrical tests.
Specialist fault-finding
When a Fault Needs Board-Level Diagnosis
Some problems lie in the circuit board or its components. Our Board-Level Repairs page explains specialist diagnosis and the published assessment fees.

Electronics Repair FAQs
What types of electronics do you repair?
We assess small consumer electronics, remotes, controllers and circuit boards. We cannot repair every device, so send the make, model and a photo if yours isn’t listed.
Can you repair GHD hair straighteners?
We accept GHD repair enquiries. The model, fault, condition and available parts determine whether a repair is possible.
Can you repair car remotes or key fobs?
We can assess electronic faults such as damaged buttons or contacts. Send photos and model details first so we can confirm what work we can offer.
Do I need to book first?
Contact us before bringing an unusual item in. We’ll advise what to bring and discuss visiting arrangements.
How much will it cost, and how long will it take?
Both depend on diagnosis and the parts needed. We’ll explain any assessment fee before starting, then discuss the repair quote and expected timing.
What if my device cannot be repaired?
We’ll explain why, whether that’s damage, unavailable parts or cost. Any agreed assessment fee will have been explained beforehand.
