Useful answers
Computer repair questions.
Can you speed up an older laptop?
Often, yes. An SSD upgrade, more RAM, a clean installation or a proper internal service can make a worthwhile difference. We check the specification and condition first, because some older machines are better replaced than upgraded.
Can you keep my files during an upgrade?
Where the original drive is healthy, we can often clone or transfer the data to the replacement drive. Back up anything important when possible, and tell us before work begins if certain files are essential.
Do you repair MacBooks and iMacs?
Yes. We assess MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac faults including screens, batteries, charging, storage, liquid damage and logic-board problems. The exact repair depends on the model and year. If you are selling your MacBook instead, read how to prepare an Apple device for sale.
Do you repair gaming PCs and desktop computers?
Yes. We diagnose desktop and gaming PC power, cooling, storage, memory, software and performance problems. We can also discuss sensible component upgrades. For PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo faults, see our console repairs.
How long will the repair take?
Timing depends on the diagnosis and whether the correct part is available. We aim for a fast turnaround, but we will give you a realistic timescale rather than promise something we cannot deliver.
What warranty comes with the repair?
The warranty depends on the job and the parts fitted. Eligible repairs carry up to one year. We explain the exact cover before the work begins.

These close-up views show the kind of careful inspection we carry out on MacBook logic boards. Water damage is not always visible from the outside, so we clean, test and explain the repair options before any work begins. Learn more about our board repair and data recovery service.
