Samsung S24 keeps rebooting: what we found inside
Our inspection showed signs of previous repair work, including a non-genuine replacement battery. That was what we found in this particular phone; we do not know who carried out the earlier work.
During removal, the connector on the battery’s flex cable separated from the flex and remained attached to the logic board’s battery socket. The flex is the thin, flexible cable linking the battery to the phone.

The close-up below shows the separated end of the battery flex above the board, with the battery-side connector still seated in the board’s battery socket.
It was the connector on the battery cable that detached. The board socket stayed on the logic board. We carefully removed the detached battery-side connector from that socket so we could fit the replacement battery correctly.
A genuine Samsung service pack battery fitted
With the detached connector removed, we fitted a genuine Samsung service pack battery. Following the repair, the phone was working and charging correctly, and the rebooting issue was resolved.
This Samsung S24 battery replacement restored reliable operation for this customer’s phone. It is a useful example of why both the replacement part and the way it is fitted matter.
